Appendix B: Cooperation with the Community Sector Envelope for Quebec

At the request of Quebec's English-speaking Community Sector, as represented by the QCGN, Canadian Heritage's financial commitment to support the implementation of this Accord is identified for 2006-07 only.

The Cooperation with the Community Sector envelope for Quebec amounts to $3,376,000 for the 12-month period starting April 1st, 2006 and ending March 31st, 2007. The envelope is divided as follows:

• Approximately 80 percent of the total envelope is allocated to the 'Program - Supporting Action' component; and
• Approximately 20 percent of the total envelope is allocated to the 'Project - Supporting Innovation' component.

Additional project funds, over and above the Community Sector envelope for Quebec, may be obtained through the Development of Official-Language Communities Program's Strategic Fund.

The size of the budget envelope is subject to the annual approval of appropriations by Parliament. In the event of a change in current or projected budgetary levels for the Development of Official-Language Communities Program, this appendix may be modified accordingly.
