Concordances
Many of the provisions of the different human rights conventions complement, overlap and mutually reinforce one other, from different perspectives and with different emphases. The table below allows the user to find the corresponding articles of different conventions. Eventually, the table will provide direct links to the chosen convention text. From the texts, further links are provided to the corresponding parts of Canada's reports.
The abbreviations used for column headings are:
- CERD = The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination
- CCPR = The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights
- ESCR = The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights
- CDAW = The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women
- CAT = The Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment
- CRC = The Convention on the Rights of the Child
